Sweet little nightcaps as pretty as this White Chocolate Eggnog is the perfect way to end a marathon gift wrapping session. I have read several iterations of this recipe made with both rum and vodka. What we made is essentially a White Russian martini made with Godiva white chocolate liqueur and store bought eggnog instead of cream.
Ingredients for two
4 ounces eggnog
1 ounce vodka or rum
1 ounce white chocolate liqueur
Optional toppings
Heavy whipping cream, beat with sugar until soft peaks form
White chocolate bar, grated over top
Pumpkin pie spice, sprinkled last
Shake the eggnog and alcohol over ice and strain into pretty glasses. I'm partial to these champagne coupes.
Garnish with fresh whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice and grated white chocolate.
A chocolate truffle on a skewer would make a pretty dynamite after dinner drink and dessert.
Punch bowl for a crowd
1 quart eggnog
1 cup vodka or rum
1 cup white chocolate liqueur
In a punch bowl, combine the eggnog, rum, and white chocolate liqueur. When you are ready to serve, whisk the eggnog to make it frothy and pour the mixture into cups. Place 1 heaping tablespoon of sweetened whipped cream into each cup. Garnish with the grated white chocolate and a sprinkling of pumpkin pie spice.
